Jewellers insurance news - Robbers smash and grab Bradford jewellers
Armed robbers wearing masks robbed a Bradford jeweller this week, making off with a horde of valuable rings; a jewellers insurance claim is likely to follow.
Amazingly, the robbery was committed in the light of day when three men, armed with baseball bats and sledgehammers, caused property damage by smashing a small pane of glass in order to be able to reach the rings.
The owner of the shop will also have to be submitting a jewellers insurance claim for the shop's main window; it was smashed after one of the robbers became trapped in the premises.
Although the robbers quickly made a getaway in a nearby car, two people, a 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman have already been arrested in connection with the incident.
It is understood that both police and the jewellers insurance customer concerned are eager for anyone with information about the robbery to contact Crimestoppers.
